Named after our favourite Canadian kids' TV show in the 90's: Fred Penner's Place, this cheery and vibrant wilderness retreat is located in South Frontenac, Ontario, on the southern edge of the Canadian Shield. The cabin overlooks a small paddling lake that offers expansive east-facing views. Watch the sunrise as you enjoy your morning coffee off your private deck. Afterward, pack your lunch and head to the lake. A short stroll down a gently sloping pathway will lead you to a shared dock and shady picnic area. Swim, fish, canoe, kayak or stand up paddle-board on-site, or get out and explore Frontenac Provincial Park's extensive canoe routes and hiking trails. All your paddling needs can be serviced on-site by Frontenac Outfitters Canoe & Kayak Centre who operate on the main road and are the owners of this beautiful and rugged property.

On the lake you may encounter their customers test-paddling their boats or enjoying a kayak or canoe lesson. Don't be shy... get out on the water and have some fun too! Or sign-up for a lesson yourself.
There are four small, private campsites that the Canoe & Kayak Centre operate on the property. These campsites are out of sight from Penner cabin (about 200-300 metres behind the cabin). These are NOT public campsites. These campsites are sometimes used by their customers who are travelling a long distance to take a workshop or purchase a boat. They are not used on a regular basis. We ask that our guests please respect the privacy of these guests while also respecting that our dock and picnic area is a shared space and may be used by these guests occasionally. NOTE: If you are looking for a completely private cabin experience, please consider booking our Mason or Auburn cabins.
