STEP 3: PACK YOUR BAGS
Sometimes the hardest part of planning a getaway isn’t choosing where to go — it’s knowing what to bring along. When packing for an off-season Cabinscape escape, it’s all about staying cozy, comfortable, and prepared for a true off-grid experience.
During the colder months, our cabins remain thoughtfully equipped with the essentials, but with water shut off for the season, a few extra items can make your stay even smoother — think warm layers, sturdy footwear, hand wipes, and extra drinking water. Don’t forget your favourite snacks and a good book for those peaceful evenings by the fire, when the quiet of the woods feels especially magical.

To help you get ready, we’ve put together a comprehensive packing list that covers everything from practical must-haves to those small comforts that make your stay unforgettable.

STEP 4: PREPARE FOR WINTER WONDERLAND
As the lakes freeze and winter settles in, our taps and showers take a little rest for the season. But don’t worry — we provide two 20L jugs of fresh, potable water so you’ll have everything you need for drinking, cooking, and cleaning up after a cozy cabin meal.
What about the call of nature? Our indoor toilets feature eco-friendly composting toilets so no water is required! Need a little more reassurance – check out this post all about our cabin washrooms!

Our cabins are built for cozy, cold days! Super insulated, with a thermostat on the wall to set your cabin at just the right temperature.
With our solar panel system, if the sun hasn’t been able to shine due to cloud cover or snow, you might need to pop on the generator for a few hours to supplement the cabin’s power!
We provide detailed instructions and a handy how-to video in the welcome package.

STEP 5: HAVE FUN & MAKE MEMORIES
Our cabins pack a ton of excitement into a small footprint, with the kitchen, mini library filled with seasonal books, and board games, but the real fun lies right outside the front door! Endless hiking opportunities (or snowshoeing with our complimentary 2 pairs once the snow arrives), sights to see, adventure activities, and more!
